This web site was developed by a large dispersed team.
Technology Used:
Microsoft SharePoint, .NET, Biztalk, JMS, Weblogic, Virtual Earth, Endeca, and other technologies.
Architected:
Architecture type - "Portal, Content Management, and Access and Discovery Models". Moderate adherence to architecture and interface models developed.
Project Focus:
Implementation of a User Centric Design Process for the "Access and Discovery" of NGA products, services expertise and support.
Role:
I was the Chief Architect.
Notes:
This site enables the customer to provide greater visibility to their products while encouraging collaboration with those that utilize the products. The site has web based GIS visualization of data, mobile capabilities, workflow, document management, blogs, wikis, and more displayed through an intuitive user interface. It has been on display at many DoD/Intel industry trade shows and conferences.

Notes:
This was a redesign of an existing site. After the release of the redesign the number of visits per month went from 1729 to 26224 within it’s first month.

Developed By:

Architected:
Architecture type - "Community of Practice". Information Architecture is dynamic and gets developed by the sites community members.
Project Focus:
GeoTalk was a product developed for use at the GEOINT 2007 conference to embrace the intellectual assets of the entire GEOINT community to solve geospatially related problems.
Role:
Information Architect, Content Management (CMS) and Document Management (DMS) developer, Interface Developer, Site Administrator and Database Developer.
Notes:
This site provides a dynamic way for users to ask question and receive answers while providing greater context to the questions and replies. User can upload images and documents, associated web sites and URLs, and geographically tag their discussion over a certain location using a GUI. Users can rate responses to questions asked and the asker can close question once a response is achieved. The system allows for the propagation of Q&A to become FAQ’s. The entire system is Wiki based including the site administration. This site was dispalyed at the GEOINT Symposium 2008 conference at various kiosks around the exhibit hall.
